Character Education’s Trait of the Month
Character Education is an educational movement that supports the social, emotional, and ethical development of students. It is the proactive effort by schools, districts, and states to instill in students important core, moral, and performance values such as caring, honesty, diligence, fairness, fortitude, responsibility, and respect for self and others. In addition to practicing “The Five P’s”, students will learn how to be their best selves and how to do their best work through Character Education. It is the key to developing a positive school climate and creating a healthy school culture by reducing negative behavior and producing academic achievement. Faculty, staff, and students are involved in Character Education at Mitchell County Primary School. Each month, we will recognize those students who exhibit the identified character trait. This month’s character trait is _____________________.
