Meet the Counselor

Biography
My name is Kendra K. Johnson, and I am the Guidance Counselor at Mitchell County Primary School. I received a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling as well as a Master’s-Level certification in Middle Grades Education from Thomas University. I also obtained my Master’s-Level certification in Guidance and Counseling from Valdosta State University. Subsequently, I received an Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Teaching from NOVA Southeastern University. My background in education spans 12 years including 10 years as a middle school teacher.

As your counselor, my role is to assist you as well as the administrators, faculty, and staff of MCPS in fostering students’ academic, behavioral, and personal growth through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration. My goal is to have all students “Give Me Five”—Be Prompt, Be Prepared, Be Positive, Be Polite, and Be Productive, and I pledge to exhibit the same characteristics in return. Parents, I want to help you help our little ones build and attain bright futures. Together, let’s construct the educational village that is necessary for success. I look forward to working with you all. Welcome to the Mitchell County Primary School!
