National Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15 through October 15, 2024 marks National Hispanic Heritage Month. This month is set aside to celebrate and honor the rich culture of Hispanic communities everywhere. Pictured are 2nd grade Hispanic students with the library display that honors the culture, pride, and unity of Hispanic heritage. Activities designed to showcase Hispanic life will be presented throughout the month.

Congratulations to Rebecca Bentley, MCPS Teacher of the Year. She was recognized at the system-wide meeting on July 30. She has been a teacher at MCPS for 14 years and is affectionately called "Coach Bentley" by her students.
