APTT Celebration at MCPS

What greater way to celebrate family participation in the MCPS’s APTT program than with a snack, a hayride and time in a huge bouncy house. MCPS had excellent attendance October 3, with over 140 family members attending our meeting. .......

School Closed September 13

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The Mitchell County School System will be closed (students only) on Wednesday, September 13th due to power outages (Hurricane Irma). Faculty and Staff will report to work on Wednesday, September 13th. School will resume on Thursday, September 14th for students, faculty and staff. Baconton Community Charter School will be closed on Wednesday, September 13th for students/employees.

APTT Spring Fling at Mitchell County Primary School

Families at Mitchell County Primary School were invited to participate in the third Academic Parent Teacher Team meeting on Thursday, April 20th at 6:00. During APTT meetings, teachers share student performance data, review grade-level foundational skills, and demonstrate concrete activities that families can do at home to help students master those skills.

Summer Time Activities

Spring has sprung, and summer break is quickly approaching. It is typical for students to want to get out of the habit school. The faculty and staff of MCPS would like to remind our students to rest well and stay safe during their time away from school. We know summer is all about having fun, but we would like you to remain an academic step ahead.

All About land forms was the title of the Social Studies lesson that Mrs. R. Douglas taught her first grade class. Students needed to be able to identify and describe different types of land forms.......
